![]() Being legendary and limited to a single color means that few people will run a playset, but a lot of decks can safely include a couple. In Vintage Bazaar of Baghdad gets a new enemy, as do the landless Belcher and "Oops, All Spells" decks of Modern. The format's Lands strategy will quickly run opponents out of all mana-producing lands … et cetera. Boseiju could prove a more flexible new choice, because it's uncounterable and able to hit artifacts as well. Legacy Reanimator sometimes splashes green for Reverent Silence to work against Leyline of the Void. Modern Amulet Titan players will cherish the tree for destroying Blood Moon, for their ability to search it into hand/play and to bounce it with Simic Growth Chamber. A green and white Death and Taxes variant with Leonin Arbiter will make a nice fit too. The average mana value of your main deck is 3.27 with lands and 3.27 without lands. Modern and Legacy Elves will love hugging the tree also. Wrenn and Six (Modern Jund) will love getting Boseiju back to your hand. Dredge allows the player to look at the bottom 3 cards from their deck, then choose one to put on top of their deck. I want to list a few decks that come to my mind at first glance and take a closer look at one afterward. Dredge is a mechanic introduced in Voyage to the Sunken City. This tree will stretch out its branches into probably every format it is legal in. A land that moonlights as a multi-type removal spell, does not enter the battlefield tapped, and produces colored mana is simply unheard of. Although the Gitrog Monster decks are not dredge decks, per se, they typically abuse the dredge mechanic, namely on the card Dakmor Salvage. This is the type of deck that is always pushing for a win, forcing its opponents to react or die. It has the flexibility of Trophy, hitting artifacts, enchantments, and even nonbasic lands, while being a land itself. The Gitrog Monster is the perfect example of an 'all in' strategy in CEDH. It combines the best of both worlds of these cards. The new Boseiju is more like a mix between Assassin's Trophy and Ghost Quarter. These two trees don't have much in common besides their name. If someone asks you which decks will contain Boseiju, Who Endures, you might say: "Definitely more than Boseiju, Who Shelters All." The list of green decks that won't run it is probably shorter than the list of decks that will.
